Residents of Depwade Court in Long Stratton came together today for Saffron Housing’s popular Community Action Day.
The event gave residents living in the Independent Living Scheme the opportunity to dispose of unwanted household items. It also provided a chance to chat in the warmth of the scheme’s communal room, where hot drinks, cakes and biscuits were available.
RGM Maintenance Services assisted with the disposal of unwanted waste and goods, supporting efforts to keep the neighbourhood clean and tidy. As ever, the truck was filled to capacity!
Independent Living Coordinator Rachel Fletcher said: “Today’s Community Action Day at Depwade Court in Long Stratton was a fantastic opportunity to bring tenants and colleagues together for a positive day of teamwork and community spirit. Days like this are about more than just clearing unwanted items; they’re about building relationships, reducing waste, improving our living environment and making sure tenants feel supported. The day was a big success!”
Thank you to everyone who came along to take part.
