Residents in Bunwell came together on 19th August for a successful Community Day focused on improving the neighbourhood and strengthening the local community, highlighting the positive impact residents can make when working together.
The event provided an opportunity for residents to safely dispose of bulky household items, which proved popular throughout the day, helping to clear unwanted waste and keep the area looking its best.
Alongside the waste disposal initiative, residents and colleagues alike rolled up their sleeves for a coordinated litter pick, with all equipment supplied on the day. Volunteers worked together to collect rubbish from around the neighbourhood, making an immediate difference to communal areas and helping to create a more welcoming environment for everyone.
Families also enjoyed a range of activities designed to bring people together and encourage a love of gardening. Children and adults took part in the popular "Plant a Pot" scheme, creating colourful displays to take home, while budding gardeners had the chance to sow cress seeds and learn more about growing their own plants.
Light refreshments were available throughout the event, and were especially enjoyed by our younger residents!
A huge thank you goes to everyone who attended, volunteered and helped make the day such a success.
