Make Things Right 2

This morning, Saffrom Housing colleagues had the opportunity to observe an ASB Case Review, a multi-agency process that gives victims of persistent anti-social behaviour the opportunity to request an independent review of how agencies have responded to their reports.

The observation formed part of our colleagues' professional development, with a view to chairing future reviews further strengthening our commitment to working in partnership with other agencies to address ASB within our communities.

The observation formed part of our colleagues' professional development, with a view to chairing future reviews. This strengthens our commitment to working in partnership with other agencies to address ASB within our communities.

It highlighted the importance of:

  • Independent scrutiny
  • Effective partnership working
  • Keeping victims at the centre of discussions and decision-making.

Key takeaways from the session included:

  • Following ASB policies and procedures consistently
  • Communicating clearly and regularly with residents
  • Managing expectations regarding available actions and potential outcomes
  • Maintaining a strong victim-focused approach throughout the process.

Observing the review reinforced the importance of collaborative working and ensuring that victims feel heard, supported, and involved in the decisions that affect them.
