We strive to develop good relationships with our customers to get you involved in helping us to shape the services that we provide. By listening we gain a better understanding of your needs and views.
The National Housing Federation (NHF) is the voice of housing associations in England. They know that housing associations do not always get it right for everyone and are not always as accountable as they should be to their customers. The NHF has been working with customers, customer representative groups, their members and others to understand what practical change is needed to address this and to drive action. They have created an initiative called ‘Together with Tenants’ for delivering change across the housing sector.
We believe this is a really valuable initiative and are one of 122 organisations to put ourselves forward to be an early adopter of the plan.
Our commitments are:
Following the launch of the draft plan there was a two-month online customer consultation on the proposals, and they hosted or supported engagement events across the country. The NHF received more than 2,500 responses (three quarters from people living in housing association homes), and engaged with more than 500 people at their events.

They have now appointed a group of external researchers who will work with us and the other early adopters to ensure we capture the feedback and insight throughout the process of trialling the initiative. We will also be working closely with our Customer Voice Group while we continue to plan and implement our Customer Engagement Strategy.
