- Safety & Compliance Training & Development
Electrical Manager Terry Waterson and Senior Risk & Compliance Surveyor Neil Belson, together with their teams, are committed to improving Saffron’s safety and compliance responsibilities in these areas.
Terry said: “To have been shortlisted as a finalist for both entries (Best response to Damp and Mould and Safety and Compliance initiative of the year) is extremely pleasing, especially as this opportunity was open to all organisations within the UK.
“This year the ASCP received more submissions than any year previous and to be on the same shortlist as organisations with housing stock into six figures is not only humbling but reassuring that we are on the right path.”
Neil said: “The journey Saffron has undertaken after deciding to bring training for asbestos awareness and management in house has enabled us to tailor the training delivered to the craft workers to make it more relevant to their trades.
“We have expanded training to people not just on the ‘frontline’ but managers and administrators too, and we have been able to develop a holistic approach to asbestos management.”
The award ceremony will take place on 12th June 2024 at Celtic Manor in Newport.
