Housing with Support means having your own flat or bungalow in a block, or on a small estate, where most of the other residents are older or disabled people who need support. With a few exceptions, all developments or ‘schemes’ provide independent, self-contained homes with their own front doors.
The schemes range in size and include one and two bedroom flats and bungalows. Properties in most schemes are designed to make life a little easier for people – with features like raised electricity sockets, walk-in showers and so on.
Schemes are covered by Wellbeing Co-ordinators who manage the development and help arrange any services residents need. Managed schemes will also usually have some shared or communal facilities such as a laundry, a lounge for residents to meet in and a garden. You can see a full list of our Housing with Support schemes below, as well as a map of where they are located. You can click on the list to get more details on each individual scheme.
