Saffron helps boost housing provision in BrecklandPublished: 12th December 2019
Saffron Housing Trust is providing quality homes for positive futures by unveiling a new housing development in Watton.
The opening earlier this month (Monday 2nd December) celebrated the successful partnership working between Saffron and Abel Homes on the completion of the six new affordable homes, consisting of one and two bedroom bungalows and one bedroom flats.
Richard Browes, Development Team Leader at Saffron, said: “This is a fantastic development with Abel Homes, and we have been handed over such high quality homes for our customers.
“With six now complete, these properties now take us close to providing 6500 homes across Norfolk and Suffolk. A further eight properties on this development due 2021, will improve the lives of people in need of good quality affordable housing.”
Tony Abel, Chairman of Abel Homes, said: “I am extremely impressed with how both teams have worked together and the highly energy efficient new homes we have provided to Saffron.
“This will be our 6th development working together, and I have really enjoyed the relationship we have built over the years. I look forward to working along side Saffron on the next phase of the development.”
The homes are already being enjoyed by Saffron customers after being signed up to the properties shortly after the opening event.
The overall development is made up of 98 properties which consists of two, three- and four-bedroom homes for sale along with a central green and an equipped play area. The next phase of the development will see a further eight affordable homes handed over to Saffron making it a total of 14 homes over the site.
