Planned Property Maintenance

We carry out planned maintenance on all our properties on a cycle, currently set at six years, as this is the most economical and efficient way of doing this type of work.

The planned maintenance work may include the following:

  • Painting, repairs or replacement of fascias, soffits, bargeboards, gutters, rainwater pipes, cladding, soil and vent pipes, porches, canopies and doors
  • Redecoration of all external previously painted elements
  • Replacement and upgrading of front/rear/side/store doors where appropriate
  • Footpath repairs
  • Roofing works
  • Minor external structural repairs

Please note that if you have climbing plants covering an area to be repaired or decorated, you must remove them to allow the decorating work to be carried out.

Also note that if planned maintenance work is being carried out in your area, external day to day repairs will only be carried out where there is an urgent need.

We will continue to review our planned maintenance and improvement programmes to make sure they are consistent with and respond to the needs of the housing stock and the wishes of our tenants.

It is always possible that additional work programmes will be introduced in the future, and we will provide further information as it becomes available.
