National Apprenticeship Week 2017

It’s coming to the end of National Apprenticeship Week and we would just like to thank everyone who was involved. We are so proud of our record with Apprentices and it has been a great week celebrating.

Please read below or follow us on Facebook or on Twitter to catch up on the week.

Please meet our colleagues who have benefitted from our apprenticeships.

Lewis (4)r

Lewis is training to be a Multi-Trade Operative. This means he will have acquired a range of skills and qualifications over his apprenticeship which will be of benefit to him in his career as well as to Saffron. He is currently being trained by David, one of Saffron’s existing multi-trade operatives.

Alex joined Saffron as an apprentice after gaining A levels and it now a fully qualified electrician.

‘Saffron offered good hours, above the minimum pay for an apprentice and all employee benefits. They supported my college work and Saffron is a big enough company to give me lots of opportunities but small enough to know everyone and be able to offer each other support when needed’.

Kelsey (2) edit

Kelsey is in her first year of the Business Admin apprenticeship and is already enjoying her experience at Saffron working with the Property Team.

“All the team are really nice and welcoming. You get the support you need and Saffron is always willing to help you work towards your qualifications.”

Amy (1) edit

Amy is now a HR Administrative Assistant at Saffron but started at the company through an apprenticeship.

“At the age of 16 Saffron was a great opportunity as it was a local business with lots of potential. They supported me throughout my apprenticeship, which included completing my NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Business Administration. This enabled me to learn lots of new skills and gain experience.  Since becoming a full time permanent employee I have completed and gained a HR qualification and continue to learn within my role.”

We are glad that Amy got the support she needed and happy she has continued to work at Saffron.

Kieron, Aidan and Mitch are three of our electrician Apprentices, here at Saffron, alongside one of their trainers Todd (second to the right). They all agree they receive all the support needed and are learning a lot which will benefit themselves as well as Saffron.
