Scudamore Place is situated in the village of Ditchingham, which is on the Norfolk/Suffolk border and approximately one mile from the market town of Bungay. The scheme consists of 45 bungalows, which have either one or two bedrooms all with their own gardens.

Scudamore Place Scheme is located in Ditchingham and consists of 45 one and two bedroom bungalows and is managed by a team of non-resident scheme managers. Each unit is fitted with a communication system which allows two-way speech between the manager and the resident. For emergency use, pull cords are fitted in every room in the bungalows and residents are also issued with an individual pendant. When the scheme manager is off duty, any emergency calls will be answered by an external call centre which is managed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Our facilities include a large communal lounge which is furnished and available to all residents for social and recreational activities. Adjoining the lounge is a fully equipped kitchen available for residents to make light refreshments.

The village of Ditchingham has many local amenities including a Post Office with newsagents and grocery store, both of which offer a delivery service. There is a village pub where meals are available. The scheme has a regular milk delivery and a mobile Library visits on a fortnightly basis.
Ditchingham also has a local Community Hospital, All Hallows, and a large village hall. Ditchingham Church is situated approximately two miles from Scudamore Place and a service is held in the communal lounge once a month.
Anglia Buses provide a good service to both Norwich and Bungay. The bus stop is opposite the scheme. The local doctor's surgery is in Bungay. Bungay also has a wider variety of shops and tea rooms, and hosts a market on the Buttercross every Thursday morning.
