Executive Team

Saffron Housing Trust has an Executive Team of three directors.

Adam Ronaldson

Chief Executive Adam Ronaldson joined the organisation in late 2003 and led the transfer process from the local authority to an independent organisation.

Adam's role is to continue to develop the business to meet the Board's aspirations, fulfil the tenants' expectations all within agreed financial parameters.

He also has management responsibility for:

  • the co-ordination of Saffron's development strategy to tackle the demand for affordable homes in South Norfolk
  • the IT infrastructure required
  • the provision of a first class Human Resources function
  • ensuring adequate administrative resources and corporate services

Adam is a member of the PlaceShapers Steering Group and a representative on the National Housing Federation Eastern Region Committee.

Previously Adam was in the private sector, principally in the Automotive information sector, working in the UK, Ireland and Switzerland.

Stephen Flowitt-Hill

Stephen joined Saffron in January 2004 as Director of Finance, and added Housing Management to his portfolio following the reorganisation of the Executive Team in 2005.

His responsibilities include the people who live in the "bricks and mortar" as well as ensuring that Saffron can pay its way.

Stephen is ably assisted by excellent managers and their teams in general needs housing, supported housing and finance.

Prior to joining Saffron, Stephen held similar roles in RSLs in Peterborough and Scotland, where he was also an independent Board member of an LSVT.

John Whitelock

John Whitelock joined the Executive Team as Director of New Business taking on a new role combining the housing development side of Saffron Housing Trust with bringing in new services and opportunities.

Some of our customers will know John as he has been with Saffron, initially with the supported housing team, since it started six years ago. He believes that Saffron is well placed to develop new services for tenants and the wider community.

Amongst other projects, he is currently overseeing the Local Homes for Local People developments which provide affordable homes in rural communities.

The Executive Team is supported by departmental managers who run various aspects of the organisation.
