We are delighted to work alongside our partners in Social Services at Norfolk; Suffolk and Essex County Councils on a variety of projects.
Age UK Norfolk – previously Age Concern Norfolk
Grays Fair Court is a £5 million state-of-the-art resource centre for older people sited in New Costessey, just outside Norwich. The new multi-care scheme is a partnership project between Saffron Housing Trust, Norfolk County Council and Age UK Norfolk (formerly Age Concern Norfolk) The centre, which welcomed its first service users on 8 December 2008, combines 34 sheltered homes, 20 respite care beds and a day service, meeting the needs of people in Norwich, South Norfolk and Broadland.
The Benjamin Foundation
Fairstead House in Kings Lynn opened at the end of 2009 and provides accommodation for up to 7 young homeless people, with the primary focus being on 16/17 yr olds. It is responding to a real need in the area as, until this facility was established, there was no available supported accommodation for young homeless people in the target group. This is the first partnership between the Benjamin Foundation and Saffron Housing Trust.
Break
Hazeldene Family Assessment Centre in Lowestoft is the first partnership between local Norfolk charity Break and Saffron. Since October 2009, the residential centre has helped several families some from as far away as Wales providing a much needed service.
House of Genesis
The House of Genesis is a small charity based in Norwich which offers a supportive home to men who come out of prison with nowhere to go. A new partnership has been forged with Saffron and the project to provide a home for a small number of men to help them reintegrate into society has opened in Spring 2010.
Leonard Cheshire Disability
Saffron is currently in discussion with Leonard Cheshire Disability about partnership working to provide facilities in North Norfolk.
